The House and Senate Appropriations Committees Chairs and Ranking Members continue their negotiations. Patients with Adrenal Insufficiency (both Primary Adrenal Insufficiency [PAI] and Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency [SAI]) have a higher morbidity and mortality rate than healthy controls primarily due to infection.1,2 Patients with PAI and SAI are at an increased risk for infection due to altered innate cellular immunity which is characterized by a significant reduction in natural killer (NK) cytotoxic cells.3,4 These NK cells play a critical role in defending organisms against viral disease. Working to Improve Adult Immunizations in Diabetes Patients Through a Multi-year National Quality Improvement Collaborative

Background AACE has been named one of seven subspecialty societies to participate in a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-funded grant project led and coordinated through the Council for Medical Specialty Societies to help increase COVID-19, influenza, and routine vaccinations in high-risk adults with chronic medical conditions.
