CONVOCATION CEREMONY
A-AACE honorees will be celebrated during the Convocation Ceremony, held during our Annual Meeting, and receive their certificate and lapel pin. They are recognized and applauded for their outstanding medical achievements, commitment to patient care, and clinical excellence. This event also offers a chance for all A-AACE honorees to meet new colleagues and foster ongoing connections and collaboration.
Eligibility and Criteria
NPs, PAs, PharmDs, CDCESs, RNs, RDs, non-endocrinologist MDs/DOs, PhDs, PsyDs, and MSWs are eligible to apply for the A-AACE designation. Endocrinologists must apply for FACE only.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Must have two (2) years of AACE community membership and be a current member in good standing at the time of your application and be a current member of an AACE Disease State Network (DSN) or an AACE topic interest group.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years post-training of clinical practice in endocrinology, diabetes, and/or metabolism.
Must have either an international or domestic board certification in their relevant field.
Must meet the selection criteria of demonstrated exceptional contributions, accomplishments, and outcomes in two (2) of the following focus areas:
Research/Journal and Publications/Academic Speaking Engagement
Academic Appointment (Educator)
Advocacy/Policy Work
Awards and Recognition (Regional, National, or International)
AACE Engagement (Annual Meeting Participant, Education Activities, Committee Volunteer, AACE recognition, etc.)
Application Fee and Maintenance
The non-refundable A-AACE application fee of $250, USD will be collected prior to beginning the application process. Payment must be submitted through a credit card; most major credit cards are accepted.
Approved A-AACE applicants must maintain their AACE community membership and submit an annual $50 fee to maintain their designation.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) – CV must be specific including start and finish dates for all training and professional experience as well as any additional information that is time-sensitive. All listed training periods must be verified by an accompanying certificate indicating start and completion dates. Failure to include this information will result in the rejection of your application.
- Letters of recommendation – Applicants must submit 2 professional letters of recommendation. 1 letter must be from an AACE member with FACE or MACE.
- Proof of Board Certification (if applicable) – AANPCB//ANCC//NCCPA/PANCE or BC-ADM/ABIM/ABPS/ABOM
- If there is no Board Certification in the applicant’s field, they must include their medical license #
