FDA issues warning: cyber threats lead to recall of certain insulin pumps

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning patients and health care providers that certain Medtronic MiniMed insulin pumps are being recalled due to potential cybersecurity risks and recommends that patients using these models switch their insulin pump to models that are better equipped to protect against these potential risks. In the systematic review and meta-analysis of more than 4,000 patients with adenomas published in the Annals of Internal Medicine (Elhassan et al), authors reported that patients with mild autonomous cortisol secretion or nonfunctioning adrenal adenomas very rarely develop overt hormonal excess (<0.1%).
