Dear AACE Community,
As we enter November, I am encouraged by the progress made throughout October and energized by the opportunities that lie ahead. Below is a recap of last month’s highlights and a preview of this month’s upcoming international programs.
Looking Back: October Highlights
Cleveland Clinic Intensive Review of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Cleveland, Ohio (Oct. 3–5): We were proud to partner with the Cleveland Clinic for their Intensive Review of Endocrinology and Metabolism program, designed to prepare participants for the endocrine board certification examination while also serving as a valuable update for clinicians in practice. It was wonderful to see many AACE members in attendance, including leaders who continue lifelong learning to advance excellence in clinical endocrinology.
AACE Board Meeting, Chicago, Illinois (Oct. 9–12): Our fall Board meeting brought together the AACE Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, and Executive Leadership Team for several days of strategic discussions and an inspiring exchange of ideas. Together, we approved the Nominating Committee slate of officers for 2026 and explored other new initiatives to support our members and global community. The collaboration and energy throughout the meeting reaffirmed our shared vision for the future.
AACE Health Care Advocacy Webinar Series, Virtual (Oct. 16 and Oct. 22): In October, we concluded the final two sessions of our AACE Health Care Advocacy Webinar Series. Although the live events have ended, all webinars are now available on demand. I encourage you to register for these complimentary webinars and explore insightful discussions designed to strengthen your advocacy skills and enhance your impact in advancing endocrine care.

Looking Ahead: November Engagements
Argentine Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SAEM) Annual Congress, Puerto Madero, Argentina (Nov. 6–8): This month begins with the SAEM Annual Congress in Argentina, where AACE’s Chief Learning Officer, Elizabeth Lepkowski, and I will connect with members and partners across Latin America to share AACE’s educational initiatives and strengthen our global partnerships in advancing endocrine health. If you are attending, I encourage you to stop by the AACE booth to learn more about our new initiatives and educational opportunities.
29th International Forum on Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism, Brazil (Nov. 14–15): AACE Immediate Past President Susan L. Samson, MD, PhD, FRCPC, FACE, and I are honored to participate in the International Forum on Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism in Brazil along with other prominent AACE members. This important gathering provides another opportunity to exchange global insights on diabetes management, metabolic health, and patient-centered approaches to care.
American Medical Association (AMA) Interim Meeting, National Harbor, Maryland (Nov. 14–18): Next, I will attend the AMA Interim Meeting with Jonathan D. Leffert, MD, FACP, MACE, ECNU, and Pavan Chava, DO, FACE. This national gathering brings together medical leaders to discuss critical issues shaping the future of medicine. The meeting offers a valuable opportunity to connect with other associations and collaborate on advocacy initiatives that advance clinical practice and improve patient care by promoting equitable access to treatment.
ASAE Leaders Retreat & Board Meeting, Louisville, Kentucky (Nov. 17–19): I will also attend the ASAE Leaders Retreat and Board Meeting, a signature gathering of ASAE’s most dedicated volunteer leaders and partners. Alongside more than 100 leaders, I will take part in facilitated discussions, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning to help shape the next era of ASAE and the association management profession. This important engagement offers a valuable opportunity to collaborate with peers, exchange ideas, and advance growth and innovation within the association community.
AACE MENA Thyroid Ultrasound Workshop, American Hospital Dubai (Nov. 20): I’m excited to share that, in partnership with American Hospital Dubai, AACE MENA will host the Thyroid Ultrasound Hands-On Workshop on November 20. This specialized program is designed to strengthen clinical skills in performing and interpreting comprehensive neck ultrasound exams, with a focus on the thyroid gland and nodules, parathyroid glands, and cervical lymph nodes. Participants will also review image optimization techniques, risk stratification using ATA and ACR-TIRADS scoring systems, and appropriate indications for fine-needle aspiration. This workshop reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in endocrine education across the MENA region and to advancing best practices in thyroid care.
AACE MENA Annual Conference 2025, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Nov. 21–23): The momentum continues with our 5th Annual AACE MENA Conference, held at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. I will attend alongside AACE President Scott D. Isaacs, MD, FACP, FACE, and AACE President Elect Dace L. Trence, MD, MACE. This three-day program will feature cutting-edge symposia, engaging sessions, interactive abstract presentations, and valuable opportunities to connect with peers and industry leaders. If you are attending, stop by the AACE table to learn how to apply for your FACE® designation, or our new Associate of AACE (A-AACE) designation, and discover other ways to get involved. I look forward to connecting with our global AACE community as we work together to advance the field of endocrinology and improve patient outcomes.
These activities reflect AACE’s expanding global reach and ongoing dedication to excellence in endocrine education and collaboration. I look forward to sharing more next month as we close out another successful year.
