- Introduction to ultrasound and related physics
- Review anatomic structures visible in imaging
- Discuss normal thyroid ultrasound imaging and image optimization
- Review locations of key landmarks, parathyroid glands and lymph node levels

Diffuse Thyroid Disorders – Aws Alfahad, MBChB
- Recognize sonographic features of diffuse thyroid disorders
- Identify common imaging features of Graves disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis and subacute thyroiditis
- Review the clinical presentation and sonographic features of thyroid lymphoma

Thyroid Nodules and Risk Stratification – Paul Aoun, MD
- Describe characteristics of benign and suspicious thyroid nodules
- Review thyroid nodule risk stratification using TI-RADS and the proposed new ATA guidelines
- Review FNA recommendations based on risk stratification

Introduction to Ablative Techniques – Alex Tessnow, MD
- Learn appropriate patient selection for thyroid ablation
- Review differences in technique, indications and contraindications for ethanol ablation, thermal ablation and thyroid artery embolization

- Attendees will be divided into small groups for optimal teaching
- Attendees will participate as sonographers and practice real-time visualization on one another with proctor guidance
