Skand Shekhar, MD, MHSc, FACP, FACE
Dr. Shekhar is an attending endocrinologist and faculty member at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He is also Medical Director of the Section of Reproductive Health, Aging, and Metabolism Program within the Division of Endocrinology. Dr. Shekhar’s expertise lies in reproductive endocrinology, with a focus on the roles of environment, genetics, and metabolism in reproductive endocrine function. He has authored widely cited original articles and developed recognized expertise in reproductive endocrine disorders, including hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, puberty disorders, menstrual disorders, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Dr. Shekhar co-authored the first-ever survivorship guidelines on histiocytosis, contributed to the 2021 Cushing’s syndrome management guidelines, and delivered numerous invited scientific lectures.
