Aliya Aziz Khan, MD, FACE

Dr. Khan is a clinical professor of medicine with divisions in endocrinology, metabolism, and geriatrics at McMaster University, and is the Director of the Calcium Disorders Clinic at McMaster University Medical Centre. She is also the Founding Director of the Fellowship program in Metabolic Bone Disease at McMaster University. Dr. Khan has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the science and art of endocrinology. She has chaired the development of global guidelines, which she first authored, including those on Osteonecrosis of the Jaw, Hypoparathyroidism, Hypophosphatasia, and X-linked Hypophosphatemia. These guidelines have been endorsed by AACE, as well as by numerous other endocrine societies. She has frequently spoken at AACE scientific symposia in the US and internationally. Dr. Khan has led international clinical research trials developing new molecules for Parathyroid Disease and has been recognized for her outstanding service to Medicine.
