CEO September Highlights

Dear AACE Community,

As we move into the fall season, I am inspired by the progress and partnerships we continue to build together. August was a month of meaningful engagement, international collaboration, and memorable experiences. I’m pleased to share a recap of last month’s highlights and a look ahead to where I’ll be connecting with our AACE community in September.

Looking Back: August Highlights

ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition – Los Angeles, CA (August 9–12): It was another outstanding annual meeting hosted by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) The Center for Association Leadership where I serve as a member of their Board of Directors, which brought together more than 6,000 association professionals and industry partners from across the globe. This year’s theme emphasized innovation, community impact, and advancing the work of associations through collaboration.

The program featured inspiring keynote speakers, including Magic Johnson, who shared his remarkable journey as an entrepreneur, leader, and philanthropist. The meeting reinforced the collective strength of the association community and the incredible impact we can make when we share knowledge and work together.

Best of AACE – Hyderabad, India (August 23): Our Best of AACE program in Hyderabad brought together esteemed U.S. and India faculty who delivered exceptional clinical content from our 2025 Annual Meeting to an engaged audience of endocrinology professionals. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our U.S. faculty, Dr. Jaydira Del Rivero, Dr. Micol Rothman, Dr. Marc Cornier, and AACE President Dr. Scott Isaacs, as well as our India faculty, for their outstanding presentations.

It was also a privilege to meet and learn from attendees, spend time with our valued partner Insignia, and connect with AACE member Dr. Shashank Joshi, a world-renowned endocrinologist, current President of the Indian Academy of Diabetes, and a respected global leader in advancing endocrine and metabolic health.

As a reminder for those who attended, this meeting fulfills the major meeting requirement to apply for the Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (FACE®) designation, AACE’s prestigious honor. The application period opens on September 8, 2025. Visit aace.com/face-distinction to learn more.

Listening Session at the Midwest Endocrinology Organization – Bloomington, MN (August 16–17): Facilitating a listening session with our President-Elect, Dr. Dace Trence, at the Midwest Endocrinology Organization was an insightful experience providing valuable learnings that will guide the development of future collaborative initiatives. Looking forward to continuing our efforts in re-engaging with the regional organizations.

September Engagements

ASAE CEO Conclave – Las Vegas, NV (September 4–7): I will start the month off at the ASAE CEO Conclave in Las Vegas, an exclusive gathering of association leaders dedicated to advancing leadership, governance, and innovation. This program offers the opportunity to exchange strategies with peers, strengthen executive skills, and bring back insights to guide AACE’s continued growth.

American Thyroid Association (ATA) Annual Meeting – Scottsdale, AZ (September 10–14): Next, I will connect with our members and partners at the ATA Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, which brings together the world’s largest community of thyroid specialists to highlight the latest clinical and scientific advances in thyroid diseases and disorders. I look forward to engaging with our endocrine community and exploring ways to advance thyroid care.

As we begin September, I am energized to build on this summer’s progress and look forward to sharing more updates from my travels and engagements with our community next month.

Thank you,
