Dear AACE Community,
May is here, and we are just weeks away from gathering in Orlando, Florida, for our 2025 AACE Annual Meeting. Before I share a preview of what’s in store, I want to take a moment to reflect on key highlights from my April engagements with our AACE community.
April Recap
American College of Physicians (ACP) Internal Medicine Meeting:
I began the month at the American College of Physicians (ACP) Internal Medicine Meeting in New Orleans, where AACE President Dr. Scott Isaacs and I connected with internal medicine leaders to strengthen our interdisciplinary partnerships and expand collaboration opportunities. We are grateful to ACP for the invitation and look forward to continuing to build upon our shared commitment to improving patient care.
ENDO Congress of the Colombian Association of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism:
Immediately following ACP, I traveled to Medellín, Colombia, to attend the ENDO Congress of the Colombian Association of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. It was a pleasure to meet with their leadership and identify opportunities for joint initiatives. Together, we look forward to uniting efforts to improve endocrine care and deliver better outcomes for patients worldwide.
Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) Spring Meeting
Later in April, I joined fellow medical society leaders at the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) Spring Meeting in Chicago. Events like this underscore the importance of coming together to share insights, address common challenges, and develop unified strategies that enhance healthcare across specialties.
Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) Conference
To close out the month, Dr. Isaacs and I attended the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) Conference at National Harbor in Maryland. Dr. Isaacs delivered an excellent presentation on Evidence-Based Management of MASLD and MASH in Patients with Obesity. It was another great opportunity to connect in person and reinforce AACE’s ongoing commitment to advancing obesity care.
