CEO June Highlights: Elevating Endocrinology

Dear AACE Community,

As we move into June, I want to take a moment to reflect on our shared accomplishments from May and offer a look ahead at key engagements planned for this month.

May Recap: Celebrating Our Annual Meeting

Last month, we gathered in Orlando for the 2025 AACE Annual Meeting, our premier event for endocrinologists and the broader endocrine care team. With over 2,280 attendees, the meeting was filled with energy, innovation, and meaningful collaboration. From groundbreaking poster presentations and engaging sessions to opportunities to reconnect with colleagues and welcome new members, the experience truly reflected our mission: elevating the practice of clinical endocrinology to improve global health.

This year’s theme, Endocrine Innovation & Obesity Breakthroughs, set the tone for an impactful program. We were honored to welcome keynote speaker Daniel Drucker, MD, FRS, FECPC, OC, along with plenary speakers Bess Dawson-Hughes, MD; Jacqueline Jonklaas, MD, PhD, MPH; and Anne Peters, MD. Each delivered valuable insights into the evolving landscape of obesity, thyroid disease, bone health, and diabetes care.

We also expanded our global reach through international meetups and our first-ever AACE Global Forum, which featured presentations by faculty from Mexico, Pakistan, and India. It was a privilege to engage with our international members and discuss how AACE can continue to support endocrine care around the world.

A personal highlight for me was our inaugural Medical Student Day. We welcomed medical students from Tufts University and Florida State University College of Medicine. Their enthusiasm for learning about endocrinology and hearing directly from AACE leaders and fellows was truly inspiring.

We also held our prestigious AACE Awards and FACE Convocation Ceremonies. Congratulations to our 2025 award recipients and new Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (FACE) recipients. Your leadership and contributions are helping to shape the future of endocrine care.

Throughout the meeting, I had the opportunity to speak with many of you about your practices, your goals, and how AACE can continue to support you and your patients. These conversations are among the most rewarding aspects of my role. And yes, I even had the chance to hit the pickleball court with some of our members!

Thank you to all our exhibitors and sponsors who helped make this year's Annual Meeting a success. Your support and partnership were instrumental in creating an engaging, informative, and inspiring experience for our attendees.

If you weren’t able to join us in Orlando or would like to revisit a session, you can access on-demand content starting June 16 at am.aace.com. The planning process is already on its way for our 2026 Annual Meeting that will take place in Las Vegas, April 22-24,2026.

June Engagements

Looking ahead, I will be representing AACE at two upcoming national meetings:

  • AMA Annual Meeting in Chicago (June 6–11) I will join healthcare leaders and policymakers for key discussions about the future of healthcare delivery and advocacy. AACE’s presence at this meeting ensures that the priorities of the endocrine community are heard at the national level.
  • AANP National Conference (June 17-22) From June 17–22, the AACE team will be attending the AANP National Conference in San Diego, CA. While I will not be there in person, I encourage you to stop by our AACE booth (#1909) to connect with our team and explore offerings specifically designed for nurse practitioners. We recognize the vital role NPs play in delivering high-quality endocrine care and are committed to supporting them with tools, education, and resources to enhance their practice.
  • ADA Scientific Sessions in Atlanta (June 20–23) I look forward to engaging with researchers and industry colleagues at the ADA Scientific Sessions, where we will explore the latest science and innovations that directly impact our work in improving care for people living with diabetes. Be sure to visit our AACE booth (#1504) to connect with me and explore how AACE can support your practice, expand your medical knowledge, and enhance your patient care.

Let’s carry the momentum from our Annual Meeting into the months ahead. Whether through advocacy, education, or research, we welcome your engagement and collaboration as we work together to advance endocrine care.

Together, We Are AACE!

Thank you,
