Dear AACE Community,
As we begin the final month of 2025, I want to thank our global community for your continued engagement and commitment to our shared mission of elevating the practice of clinical endocrinology to improve global health. This year brought meaningful progress across education, advocacy, member engagement, and global partnerships. I am pleased to highlight several of my November engagements and share important updates taking place in December as we conclude this impactful year together.
Looking Back: November Highlights
Argentine Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SAEM) Annual Congress, Puerto Madero, Argentina (Nov. 6–8): Last month, AACE partnered with SAEM to deliver a series of high-quality educational sessions covering the latest advancements in clinical endocrinology and patient care. Our exhibit booth fostered valuable engagement with clinicians and highlighted how AACE clinical guidance documents and resources can support their practice. This productive week further strengthened our relationship with SAEM and reaffirmed our commitment to expanding our partnership and impact throughout Latin America.
29th International Forum on Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism, Recife, Brazil (Nov. 14–15): Next I joined AACE Past Presidents Dr. Susan Samson, Dr. Daniel Hurley, and Dr. Hossein Gharib at the 29th International Forum on Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism. The event brought together leaders committed to advancing endocrine care and created opportunities to collaborate across the region.
American Medical Association (AMA) Interim Meeting, National Harbor, Maryland (Nov. 14–18): It was an honor to participate in the AMA Interim House of Delegates Meeting alongside our AACE delegates, Dr. Jonathan Leffert and Dr. Pavan Chava. They represented our community in pivotal discussions about the practice environment for endocrinologists and patient access to essential endocrine care. Our active role ensures that the voice of the endocrine community remains strong at the national level.
ASAE Leaders Retreat and Board Meeting, Louisville, Kentucky (Nov. 17–19): I attended the ASAE Board Meeting, an energizing opportunity to collaborate with association leaders nationwide. Our discussions provided valuable insights that will help support AACE’s continued organizational excellence.
AACE MENA Thyroid Ultrasound Hands-On Workshop, American Hospital Dubai (Nov. 20): I ended the month in Dubai, where we hosted our first regional AACE Thyroid Ultrasound Hands-On Workshop in partnership with American Hospital Dubai. The workshop covered comprehensive neck ultrasound evaluation, imaging optimization, interpretation and communication of findings, and thyroid nodule risk stratification using ATA and ACR-TIRADS, including appropriate indications for fine needle aspiration. This was the first time we delivered this training in the region, and it was exceptionally well received.
AACE MENA Annual Conference 2025, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Nov. 21–23): Next I joined AACE President Dr. Scott Isaacs, and President Elect Dr. Dace Trence, at our AACE MENA Conference in Dubai. This year’s conference welcomed more than 1,300 attendees from across the MENA region and beyond, to learn about a wide spectrum of endocrine disorders, from diabetes and obesity to thyroid, pituitary, adrenal tumors, and metabolic bone diseases.
Thank you to our Program Chair, Dr. Sarah Nadeem, the advisory board, our partners, and our AACE team for their dedication and leadership in delivering another exceptional conference. We look forward to returning next year on November 20-22, 2026.

Looking Ahead: December Engagements
65th International Congress of the Mexican Society of Nutrition and Endocrinology (Dec. 2–6): This month, AACE President Dr. Scott Isaacs and I had the privilege of attending the 65th International Congress in Mexico, where Dr. Isaacs delivered the keynote address on The Current Status and the Horizon in MASLD. Throughout the week, we also connected with clinicians from across the region at the AACE booth, listening to their needs and sharing resources designed to support their practice, including pathways to pursue our FACE designation and our new Associate of AACE designation.
AACE Virtual Clinical Guidance Forum (Dec. 10–11): On December 10 and 11, we will host our inaugural two-evening Virtual Clinical Guidance Forum, featuring our 2025 AACE clinical guidance documents on obesity, dyslipidemia, multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1, and menopause management. Participants will learn directly from the expert authors who shaped these evidence-based guidance documents, gaining practical strategies to improve outcomes, address complex cases, and integrate the newest advancements into daily practice. You can view the full schedule and speaker bios on the event platform. For those unable to join live, on-demand access and up to 6 CME/CE/MOC credits are available through December 31, 2025. On-demand content will remain available through December 11, 2026.
Thank You to Our Global Community
As we close out 2025, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to our 2025 AACE President, Scott D. Isaacs, MD, FACP, FACE. His leadership, vision, and dedication have advanced key initiatives that strengthen education, advocacy, and our global collaboration.

As we look to 2026, we are pleased to welcome AACE President Elect Dace L. Trence, MD, MACE, who will lead the rollout of our AACE 2026 to 2029 Strategic Plan. The plan centers on three goals that will guide our next chapter:

These goals reflect the vision of our members and the evolving needs of clinicians and patients. Together we will continue to elevate the practice of clinical endocrinology to improve global health.
