Dear AACE Community,
As we move through the summer months, I’m encouraged by the momentum we’re building together. July was filled with meaningful engagement, collaboration, and progress across the AACE community. I’m pleased to share a few highlights from last month and a preview of the important work ahead in August.
Looking Back: July Highlights
Mayo Clinic Member Interview – Jacksonville, FL (July 7): One of the most rewarding parts of my role is connecting directly with our members. In early July, I visited Jacksonville, Florida, where I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Victor J. Bernet at the Mayo Clinic. As a long-standing AACE member and mentor to many in the field, Dr. Bernet’s insights provided valuable perspective on how we can continue to enhance our programs and resources to better support clinicians and patients.
AACE All Staff Retreat – Jacksonville, FL (July 9–10): Soon after, our entire AACE staff came together for our annual retreat. This in-person gathering offered our fully remote organization an opportunity to connect across cross-functional teams, gain professional development, and prepare for the launch of our 2026 strategic plan. AACE President Dr. Isaacs will be sharing a preview of our new strategic plan later this month. Thank you again to our staff for their continued dedication and the meaningful work they do every day to support our mission, members, partners, and global AACE community.
ENDO 2025 – San Francisco, CA (July 12–15): Later in the month, I traveled to San Francisco for ENDO 2025. There, we featured AACE’s latest initiatives, including our expanding library of clinical guidance documents, certificate programs, and patient-centered resources. It was great to reconnect with so many of you who stopped by our booth and shared how you’re using AACE tools in your daily practice.
While onsite, I had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Michelle Lundholm, an early career endocrinologist and active AACE member, about her involvement in AACE programs and leadership opportunities. From serving as a fellow-in-training on the Board of Directors to supporting the development of the 2025 AACE Consensus Statement on Management of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia, Type 1, Dr. Lundholm shared how AACE has supported her growth and strengthened her ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Her story reflects the meaningful ways AACE supports professional development and fosters leadership across all stages of an endocrine career.
ASAE Research Foundation Summit – Ellicott City, MD (July 15–16): At the end of the month, I was honored to participate in the ASAE Research Foundation Summit, where I joined leaders from across the association community to exchange ideas and explore how organizations like ours can continue to lead with innovation.

August Engagements
This month, I will participate in two events that reflect our ongoing efforts to foster global collaboration, advance knowledge, and patient health.
Best of AACE – Hyderabad, India (August 23): August begins in Hyderabad, India. This event features select content from our Annual Meeting, presented alongside expert commentary from Indian faculty. It offers an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals in the region to gain deeper clinical insights into the latest technologies, evidence-based guidelines, and research in endocrine care through interactive Q&A sessions.
This meeting also fulfills the major meeting requirement for those applying for our prestigious Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (FACE®) distinction. FACE is AACE’s highest honor, recognizing achievement, leadership, and dedication to advancing the field. The application period opens on September 8, 2025. I encourage you to visit aace.com/face-distinction to learn about eligibility and application details.
ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition – Los Angeles (August 9 to 12): As a member of the Board of Directors for ASAE, I’ll be attending the board meeting and ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition in Los Angeles. I look forward to joining thousands of association colleagues to discuss trends, share strategies, and bring back new ideas that will strengthen the future of AACE.
As we move through August, I look forward to celebrating our shared progress, strengthening partnerships, and building a stronger future for endocrine care together.
Thank you,
Johnnie White, MBA, CAE, CMP Fellow
