Dear AACE Community,
As we enter the second quarter of 2025, I’d like to share the significant progress we’ve made together last month and upcoming opportunities that further advance our mission: elevating the practice of clinical endocrinology to improve global health.
March Recap

ASMBS 2025 Obesity Summit:
On March 7–8, I had the privilege of attending the ASMBS 2025 Obesity Summit: Moving the Needle – Advancing Comprehensive Care for Obesity, alongside AACE member Elizabeth Bauer, MD, FACP, DABOM. This impactful event brought together leaders from healthcare, industry, policy, and patient advocacy to develop actionable strategies that enhance access to evidence-based obesity care and treatment. Through meaningful partnerships like this summit, we can address barriers to care and drive patient-centered solutions.
ASAE Legislative Fly-In:
Later in the month, from March 24-27, I traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Legislative Fly-In. During this event, I met with federal policymakers to advocate for legislative and regulatory solutions that will support AACE and other associations. These conversations underscored AACE’s vital role in shaping policies that advances the organization.

Looking Ahead: April Engagements
American College of Physicians (ACP) Internal Medicine Meeting:
On April 3-4, AACE President Scott D. Isaacs, MD, FACP, FACE, and I will attend the ACP Internal Medicine Meeting. This important gathering provides an opportunity to engage with internal medicine healthcare professionals, explore clinical innovations, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration between endocrinologists and other physicians to advance patient care.
ENDO Congress of the Colombian Association of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism:
Following the ACP meeting, I will travel to Medellín, Colombia, to attend the ENDO Congress from April 4–7. This international meeting presents an invaluable opportunity to exchange knowledge and strengthen partnerships with our global endocrine colleagues. By working together across borders, we reinforce our shared dedication to advancing endocrine health worldwide.
CMSS Spring Meeting 2025:
Later this month, from April 14-16, I’ll join fellow leaders at the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) Spring Meeting at the American College of Surgeons Headquarters in Chicago, IL. CMSS convenes leadership from across various medical societies to explore collaborative solutions that strengthen education and improve patient care.
I am honored to represent AACE and our dedicated community of health care professionals at these important events. Your ongoing commitment to advancing clinical endocrinology inspires everything we do. I look forward to the continued progress we will achieve together in the months ahead.
Thank you,
Johnnie White, MBA, CAE, CMP Fellow
