CEO April 2026 Highlights

Dear AACE Community,

As we close out the first quarter of 2026 and step into Q2, I want to thank you for your continued engagement with AACE. The momentum we are building together reflects the strength of our community and our shared commitment to advancing endocrine care.

This month, I am especially energized by our approaching 35th Annual Meeting taking place Wednesday, April 22, through Friday, April 24, in Las Vegas, which we will be welcoming over 2,400 endocrinologists and other members of the endocrine team. The setting will reflect the energy and ambition of our collaborative work, where innovation and experience intersect.

First, let’s take a moment to look back on March, a month marked by meaningful engagement, thoughtful dialogue, and continued progress across multiple fronts.

March Highlights

  • Southern Society of Endocrinologists Annual Meeting, New Orleans, Louisiana (February 27–March 1): It was wonderful to attend, connect with AACE members, and see their outstanding work showcased at the meeting. Highlights included AACE Immediate Past President Scott D. Isaacs, MD, FACP, FACE, participating in the Complicated Diabetes Cases With MASLD and Obesity panel, and Dr. Kittie Wyne’s presentation on the AACE Guideline for the Pharmacologic Management of Adults With Dyslipidemia.
  • American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Legislative Fly-In, Washington, D.C. (March 23–24): Advocacy remains a critical component of our work, and participating in the ASAE Fly-In was, as always, a rewarding experience. Representing the association community in conversations with legislators is an important responsibility and one that allows us to elevate awareness of the vital role associations play in strengthening healthcare systems, supporting professionals, and ultimately improving patient outcomes.
  • ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership Board Meeting, Washington, D.C. (March 25): As a member of the Board of Directors, I had the opportunity to participate in another successful meeting with some great strategic discussions about the future of associations and the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
  • Association Thrive Podcast: I also had the pleasure of joining Joanna Pineda once again as a guest on her podcast. Joanna brings a thoughtful and engaging approach to her interviews, and our conversation offered an opportunity to reflect on my personal journey as well as the broader work we’re doing at AACE. It is always valuable to step back and consider not only where we are going, but how far we have come. Click to listen here.

April Engagements

  • Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) Spring Meeting, Alexandria, VA (April 7-10): This gathering brings together leaders from across the association community, including CEOs, Professional Peer Groups, and the Organization of Program Director Associations. I look forward to the valuable forum for dialogue, shared learning, and strategic alignment on the issues that matter most to our organization and global community.
  • Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) Annual Conference, San Diego, CA (April 10-12): The OMA represents a critical voice in the field of obesity medicine, and this conference offers and important opportunity to engage with leaders in the field, exchange insights, and explore new approaches.
  • American College of Physicians (ACP) Internal Medicine Meeting, San Francisco, CA (April 16-18): This global gathering of internal medicine physicians and subspecialists provides a dynamic environment for professional growth and collaboration. With its focus on clinical excellence and innovation, this meeting aligns closely with our own priorities at AACE.
