AACE is seeking visionary leaders and authors to drive the next iteration of our flagship Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) Management Algorithm for publication in Endocrine Practice. Building on the 2026 update, you’ll translate the latest evidence into visual decision trees and concise trial-data summaries—shaping definitive clinical guidance for T2D care.

Available Roles and Qualifications

Chair

• Lead the Task Force: set agendas, steer task force meetings, oversee development
• Qualifications: ≥2 peer-reviewed publications (first or senior author) on T2D management in the past 5 years; demonstrated leadership in development of clinical guidance

Vice Chair  

• Support the Chair: coordinate work groups, ensure timelines are met, facilitate communication
• Qualifications: same as Chair

Author 

• Revise algorithm sections, synthesize evidence, draft text, update figures/tables
• Qualifications:
  • Mid-Career (11–20 years post-training) or Senior (≥21 years post-training): ≥2 topic-specific publications in the past 7 years (first or senior author preferred)
  • Early-Career: Any 2 relevant publications in the past 7 years (first or senior author preferred)

General Eligibility

• Active AACE member in good standing
• Active in clinical practice within the past 5 years
• Clinical and/or research expertise in T2D management
• Track record of peer-reviewed publications and teamwork
• Commitment of 1–2 years with no change in disclosure status
• Adherence to ICMJE authorship criteria and AACE Conflict of Interest Policy
