Statement of Need
Recent survey data identified ongoing practice-based gaps among endocrinologists related to practice management and endocrine-specific coding and billing. Endocrinologists reported a need for additional resources and training focused on coding and billing. Endocrinologists working in solo practice were especially likely to report challenges related to practice management, including operational efficiency, administrative responsibilities, and workflow management. These findings demonstrate a need for targeted education and practical resources to strengthen endocrinologists’ knowledge and competency in coding, billing, and effective practice operations. Addressing these gaps may improve practice efficiency, financial sustainability, and the overall delivery of patient care.
