Severe hypoglycemia happens more often than you think—even in patients with well‑controlled type 1 diabetes. This dynamic, case‑based program uses interactive branching scenarios to mirror real clinical decisions, equipping endocrinologists and the broader endocrine care team to spot hidden risks, improve clinician–patient communication, and close persistent gaps in reporting and detection. Walk away ready to apply advanced treatment and technology strategies while implementing a streamlined practice workflow that includes structured screening, risk stratification, targeted patient education, and timely insulin adjustments.

Upon program completion, participants should be able to:
- Assess patient risk for severe hypoglycemia by incorporating structured screening questions and validated tools during routine clinical visits.
- Differentiate between available glucagon formulations to guide appropriate prescribing and improve emergency preparedness.
- Evaluate the limitations of CGM and automated insulin delivery (AID) systems in patients with impaired awareness of hypoglycemia to inform individualized treatment adjustments.
- Apply guideline-supported, evidence-based practices to revise insulin therapy and glycemic targets following Level 2 and Level 3 hypoglycemic events.
- Identify disparities in SH-related care to guide equitable access to diabetes technology, SH treatment options, and diabetes education in at-risk populations.
The primary target audience for this educational program is US-based endocrinologists and the endocrine care team, including PAs, nurses, and NPs, who diagnose and treat patients with T1D in their clinical practice settings.
