Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to: 

  • Recognize the clinical manifestations and diagnostic challenges of X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH) across the lifespan, including interpretation of biochemical findings and identification of adult presentations that are frequently underrecognized or misdiagnosed. 
  • Evaluate evidence-based treatment strategies for XLH, including conventional and targeted therapies, by applying knowledge of disease pathophysiology, patient selection, safety considerations, and long-term monitoring requirements. 
  • Develop multidisciplinary, lifelong management plans for patients with XLH through the case-based application of strategies to monitor skeletal and functional outcomes, manage treatment-related complications, and improve the transition of care from pediatric to adult practice.  
Target Audience

The primary target audience for this program is endocrinologists and the endocrine care team, including nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and diabetologists.
