This complimentary live program is designed to improve the diagnosis of lipodystrophy syndromes and address the condition's substantial metabolic consequences, such as insulin resistance, diabetes, and hypertriglyceridemia, with a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach.
This program will also provide case-based discussions to apply skills gained in screening, education, and the development of personalized treatment plans with patients. Tips, tools, and examples will help participants develop work plans to implement with their teams in the practice setting.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the clinical features and diagnostic challenges associated with lipodystrophy syndromes, including differentiation from more common metabolic disorders such as T2D, obesity, PCOS, and MASLD.
- Evaluate the metabolic complications associated with lipodystrophy, including severe insulin resistance, hypertriglyceridemia, MASLD/MASH, and cardiovascular risk, with recognition of the disproportionately severe metabolic phenotype observed in women, and apply evidence-based strategies for individualized management and risk reduction.
- Integrate multidisciplinary and emerging therapeutic approaches into the care of patients with lipodystrophy through case-based application of referral strategies, patient education, leptin-based therapies, and coordinated long-term management plans.
The primary target audience for this program is endocrinologists and the endocrine care team, including nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and diabetologists.
