Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify key clinical indicators distinguishing PCOS from other endocrine disorders to improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce misdiagnosis. 
  • Select appropriate screening tools and assessments to detect comorbidities and long-term health risks associated with PCOS, such as CVD and depression. 
  • Explain the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying PCOS, including insulin resistance and androgen excess, to inform evidence-based treatment decisions.
  • Select effective communication strategies to educate patients about PCOS, promote patient engagement and utilization of treatment plans, and address barriers to patient’s access to care.
Target Audience

Endocrinologists are the primary target audience; however, all healthcare professionals including primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician associates and endocrine care professionals who treat patients with women's health disorders in their practice may also access this program.
