The Diabetes Disease State Network (DSN) consists of clinical providers and research scientists with interest in the pathophysiology and clinical management of diabetes. The Diabetes DSN is involved in medical education, scientific learning, community engagement through our member portal, and opportunities for career development. The Diabetes DSN (alongside other DSNs) is committed to the AACE mission of elevating the practice of endocrinology and improving global health. Our Diabetes DSN leaders collaborate and share educational materials on the AACE website and contribute to bringing the most up-to-date diabetes content at our national meetings. For example, the AACE Advanced Diabetes Skills Certificate Program provides an excellent opportunity to network with national/international faculty (via either an online training program or hands-on workshop at the national meeting) and gain knowledge in utilizing advanced technologies to manage diabetes.
The Diabetes DSN serves as the voice of AACE for diabetes and its related comorbidities. Many of our members are requested to provide expertise in various AACE arenas, including educational podcasts and webinars along with development of white papers (i.e., consensus statements) on various diabetes-related topics. Our overarching goal is to provide guidance to the broader AACE community to ensure high-quality care is provided to all persons living with diabetes.
We welcome and encourage participation from any AACE member with a mutual interest in diabetes to join our AACE Diabetes Disease State Network. Participation in the Diabetes DSN allows opportunity to network with other clinicians and researchers, gives our members a voice through several AACE programs, and may provide opportunities to plan and/or speak at our national and/or international AACE meetings.
