AACE Survey Policy

AACE is committed to facilitating the dissemination of relevant surveys that both satisfy the aims of the developer and provide a clear and deliverable benefit to AACE Members and/or AACE as an organization. To accomplish this, it is necessary to have appropriate content and a methodologically sound and consistent survey design.

A Well-Developed Survey Should:

  • Have a clearly defined purpose and objectives that provide value to AACE Members
  • Address a topic of importance to clinicians who practice endocrinology
  • Collect information that addresses the stated purpose and objectives of the survey
  • Be designed so that questions may yield meaningful data that can be statistically analyzed
  • Take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete
  • Include questions capturing any relevant demographic data (e.g. gender, subspecialty, location, practice type, etc.)

Survey Submission Requirements:

  • Developer must be an AACE Member
  • Completed survey request form (below)
  • Copy of the proposed survey within the actual survey tool (survey monkey, etc.)
  • Cover letter/invitation to complete the survey with the relevant information, deadlines, etc.
  • Any exceptions to these requirements will be determined by the AACE Executive Committee
  • Include a publication plan, if applicable, that considers AACE publications as candidates for dissemination
  • Include a dissemination plan for the results (e.g., to the membership), if applicable
  • Include a plan to inform AACE of the survey results prior to dissemination/publication of results

Review & Approval Process:

  • All survey requests must be reviewed and approved by the AACE Executive Committee
  • If approved, AACE will send the survey on behalf of the developer to current AACE Members, one time only
  • Executive Committee reserves the right to approve or deny any survey request
  • If not approved, developer will be informed of this decision

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Approval to disseminate a survey does not infer endorsement by or collaboration with AACE.
