AACE invites nominations and applications for two, separate positions:
1) Editor-in-Chief of Endocrine Practice (EP)
2) Editor-in-Chief of AACE Clinical Case Reports (ACCR)
Endocrine Practice (EP) publishes original articles, review articles, commentaries, editorials and visual vignettes. The primary mission of Endocrine Practice is to enhance the health care of patients with endocrine diseases through continuing education of practicing endocrinologists.
AACE Clinical Case Reports (ACCR) is an online journal that publishes case reports with accompanying commentaries on a quarterly basis. The primary mission of the journal is to present the most up-to-date information for practicing endocrinologists, fellows in endocrinology, and healthcare professionals dealing with endocrine disorders including diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, thyroid and other general endocrine disorders.
Applicants for either of the Editor-in-Chief positions must be respected and accomplished endocrinologist thought leaders who maintain an awareness of emerging areas of endocrinology research and practice; well organized, energetic, and innovative; and dedicated to building Endocrine Practice or ACCR as an important and valuable resource for the broad endocrinology community. Successful applicants will have experience as an associate editor, editorial board member, and/or productive reviewer for a peer-reviewed journal, as well as a record of published articles in scholarly journals. Responsibility for the content of the Journal will rest with the Editor-in-Chief, associate editors, and editorial board. The Editor-in-Chief also will work collaboratively to ensure that the Journal helps to meet strategic goals of AACE. Applicants must be comfortable working with electronic technology to expedite review and publication of submitted manuscripts.
Successful candidates will assume their respective positions beginning January 1, 2021, after an orientation and a transition period in late 2020.
