JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (February 11, 2019) – As a trusted source of information for clinical endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) announced today, the launch of the AACE Bone Resource Center – the fourth in a series of online educational resources available to AACE members and other medical professionals.

Created by AACE endocrine experts, the AACE Bone Resource Center is a compilation of educational tools including clinical practice guidelines, a resource slide library, publications on the latest metabolic bone diseases, podcasts with downloadable transcripts, and other information.

“The goal in developing the AACE Bone Resource Center was to ensure AACE members and their healthcare team, as well as other health care organizations, have the ability to access and implement the latest science on bone-related disorders from osteoporosis clinical practice guidelines and algorithms to other patient management resources, with the hope of translating into improved patient care,” said Pauline M. Camacho, MD, FACE, chair of the AACE Bone Resource Committee.

While the website is chockful of relevant resources now, additional resources are currently being developed and include a toolkit with downloadable information such as tips and treatment strategies for disease management; an “In the News” section with the most current information specific to bone-related disorders; live and web-based educational opportunities, and links to vetted websites offering patient information and assistance.

The AACE Bone Resource Center is the fourth in a series of AACE-member physician created resource centers including the Diabetes Resource Center, Obesity Resource Center and the recently launched Lipids Resource Center. The goal of these resource centers is to provide insight on the latest treatment options, therapies, case studies and more, with the purpose of improving patient care.
