Dr. Natalia Fretes Oviedo is a first-year clinical fellow at Cleveland Clinic. Originally from Paraguay, she completed her residency at Central Michigan University, where she developed a strong interest in endocrinology. She is dedicated to prioritizing empathy while providing care, enhancing patient education, and promoting diversity and inclusion. Her clinical focus is particularly centered on adrenal and neuroendocrine disorders. She has actively participated in various leadership roles, and she is committed to advocating for fellows' interests and contributing to the advancement of endocrinology clinical practice both in the United States and globally.
Meet Dr. Kayla Patel, the 2024-2025 AACE Fellow-in-Training Board Representative

Dr. Kayla Patel is a first-year endocrinology fellow at Emory University. She grew up in Marietta, GA, and has completed her medical training throughout the state of Georgia. She first became interested in endocrinology when she started to work in the Bone and Body Composition lab at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Her specific interests in the field include bone health, transgender medicine, and addressing disparities in diabetes. As the AACE fellow representative, she will serve as a voice for her co-fellows nationwide and help increase awareness of endocrine resources among non-endocrine colleagues.
