Opportunity for Member Review and Comment on Recommendations in the forthcoming AACE Clinical Practice Guideline on Pharmacological Management of Adults with Dyslipidemia

Comment period: May 8 - June 4, 2024

AACE invites you to review and comment on draft recommendations in the forthcoming "American Association of Clinical Endocrinology Clinical Practice Guideline: Pharmacological Management of Adults with Dyslipidemia," which updates the 2017 AACE guideline for management of dyslipidemia and prevention of cardiovascular disease.

This is the first AACE guideline developed according to the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) approach. GRADE is a rigorous, systematic, and transparent method for developing evidence-based recommendations for improvement of patient-important outcomes and is becoming the global standard methodology for guideline development.

Summaries are provided to demonstrate that recommendations were developed based on the certainty of evidence, patient values, balance of potential benefits and harms, and other considerations such as feasibility, acceptability, and equity. Full profiles with all data will be published in the full guideline.

The comment period will be open for 4 weeks from May 8 until June 4, 2024, at 11:59 PM Eastern time.
