Are Your Patients Prepared? The Unrecognized Crisis of Severe Hypoglycemia 2020-2021
Join expert faculty as they present patient cases and share practical strategies to better prepare patients for severe hypoglycemia. Faculty will highlight the impact unrecognized severe hypoglycemia has on patients, caregivers, primary care physicians and endocrinologists. AACE and Academy for Continued Healthcare Learning (ACHL) has partnered with select AACE meetings and AACE state and local chapter annual meetings to provide education you can access virtually.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
Discuss barriers to recognizing and treating severe hypoglycemia
Demonstrate knowledge of clinical guidelines and new approaches in treating severe hypoglycemia
Review preemptive strategies to prepare patients/caregivers and improve outcomes in the event of severe hypoglycemic episodes
