Debra Margulies, MD, ECNU, FACE
Debra Margulies, MD, FACE, ECNU, practices endocrinology at Summit Medical Group in Morristown, New Jersey, and has a clinical focus in thyroid disease. In addition to her clinical work Dr. Margulies is the current secretary/treasurer for the New Jersey chapter of AACE. She also teaches neck ultrasound in the evaluation of thyroid nodules, parathyroid disease, and cancers as part of the clinical symposia offered by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE). Dr. Margulies is a member of AACE, the American Thyroid Association, Endocrine Society, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Prior to her current position Dr. Margulies practiced as part of the faculty group at New York University.
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Describe the techniques and utility of parallel versus perpendicular approach for fine needle aspiration.
- Describe the benefits of proper slide preparation in fine needle aspiration.
- Describe the role of fine needle aspiration in localization of parathyroid adenomas.
