Sina Jasim, MD, MPH
Sina Jasim, MD, MPH, is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipid Research at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interest focus on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer. She is also interested in endocrine neoplasia with focus on MEN syndromes and adrenal tumors. She completed her endocrine fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She is the AACE Thyroid Disease State Network chair.
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Discuss thyroid nodule sonographic features associated with higher risk of malignancy
- Review indications for thyroid nodule biopsy
- Identify challenges in sonographic evaluation of thyroid nodules
