Tracy S. Wang, MD, MPH
Tracy S. Wang, MD, MPH, FACS, is currently Professor of Surgery, Vice-Chair of Strategic and Professional Development, and Chief of the Section of Endocrine Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee, WI). Dr. Wang is the Program Leader for the Endocrine Cancer program at the Froedtert Hospital/Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center and Program Director of the MCW Comprehensive Endocrine Surgery Fellowship. She is currently Councilor-at-Large for the Society of Surgical Oncology, President of the Society of Asian Academic Surgeons, and Treasurer of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. She completed her surgical residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York and a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine. She holds a Masters degree in Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Discuss critical elements in the diagnosis of normocalcemic primary hyperparathyroidism.
- Discuss critical elements in the diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism in patients with normal parathyroid. hormone levels.
- Discuss how the surgical management may be affected by the diagnosis of normocalcemic and/or normohormonal primary hyperparathyroidism.
MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION
Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to .5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.
